Superbooth 2026: Quray Hands-Free Controller

US Glowing volcano rock for playing synths without touching      08/05/26

At Superbooth 2026, an innovative musical instrument was introduced by Eduard from Quray. featuring an interactive and unconventional playing surface. Quray utilizes the space above it as a playable area, enabling you to manipulate sound by moving your hands, and it looks like a piece of volcanic rock which glows as you approach it!

It is MIDI and CV compatible, equipped with four CV out channels, and integrates seamlessly with devices like the Elektron Analog 4. The instrument allows the manipulation of noise and bass on different channels and supports quantized note playing. Interactive lights indicate proximity, enhancing the visual and tactile experience. A display shows hand positions in an X-Y format, which can control various parameters.

The built-in software, accessible via web and mobile, lets you create and modify presets, offering flexibility in how the zones and controls are utilized. Set to be available next month, it will retail for approximately €600, with a special offer for Superbooth attendees.
