Cherry Audio continue their release of classic and rare vintage synthesizer emulations with the DS-2. An emulation of the Crumar DS-2 from 1978 which followed the trend of synth voice and paraphonic synth section of the time.
Whats unusual about the DS-2 is that the waves were generated from simple integrated circuits which produced stable pitch square waves. These were then modified by transistor networks to create more familiar Oscillator waves - the result was somewhat stepped and harmonically richer waveforms.
Cherry Audio have added up to 16 voice polyphony, an extra LFO, more filter variations, 6 assignable LFO routings, Aftertouch routings, and their excellent FX system with three chains of up to 5 FX each and more.
