Pluginmaker.ai have announced they're in beta - releasing a new platform to make your own audio plugins in your browser, and export to VST / AU. Four stages of production are mentioned below, and everyone who signs up gets 300 free credits to experiment with, no credit card required. In the video, they're talking at Ableton HQ Berlin - an example page is live on their site now. More details there and below...
01 Describe your plugin
Visit pluginmaker.ai in your browser and describe the plugin you've been imagining. A warm analog synth, a vintage delay, a punchy compressor -- or something completely unique. Type your idea and watch it come to life.
02 Preview the sound
Test your plugin right in the browser. MIDI controller, on-screen keyboard, your own audio files, or the built-in sequencer -- hear exactly how it sounds.
03 Customize
Control over sound and design. Adjust parameters, move things around, change the visuals -- keep iterating until it feels right.
04 Download & use
When you're happy with the results, download your plugin and use it in any DAW that supports VST or AU formats -- including Logic Pro, Ableton, FL Studio, Cubase, and more.
