US A closer look at the prototype      25/01/26

Our friend Rich Nicol from Pittsburgh Modular Synthesizers - very kindly dropped by a few booths and filmed some video for us - thanks Rich!

First stop was the Casio booth to check out the new  portable standalone sampler. Casio's most recent innovation was not yet released but was available for early access viewing at the show. Casio top chap Rich Formidoni gave us a look at the new hardware.

It 16 tactile pads and can handle one-shots and loops,  allowing waveform editing.

It also offers a variety of effects, includng  bit crusher, flanger, and phaser. Sequencing is designed to be intuitive, using gamer-friendly controls or the pads for real-time recording.

Power options included AAA batteries or USB-C, which streamed audio in and out, as previously mentioned it has 64GB of RAM, a built-in microphone, speaker, and is compact enough to fit in your pocket. However, pricing and release dates remained undecided.

We'll just have to wait and see...
