The Joy of Hexaphonic Pickups

US Hex education as Alex Ball hits it for six      26/09/25

Hex pickups allow for each string of your guitar to be isolated for full control and manipulation in the way you choose. here we have Alex Ball taking a look at their history and development over the years. With this feature you can spread strings across the stereo field; apply hexaphonic effects, create open source guitar synths, have microtonal tunings and much more.

AND if you tune into the JOMOX episode of our 'midierror meets...' series, you'll hear Jurgen talking about a polyphonic harmonic distortion circuit which he added to a guitar back in 1988...pre Jomox... and it still works!
