Kebu is known for his live synth shows across Europe, based in Finland, he takes a large selection of analogue synths and gear out on the road to perform his brand of synth based instrumental music. We interviewed Kebu - you can watch that here.
Sara Långvik. Originally from Turku, Långvik is a Finnish-Swedish media producer and sound engineer with extensive experience in music production, TV broadcasting and studio management. The documentary is her first independent directorial work aimed at international distribution.
The documentary is mostly in Kebu's native tongue – an Ostrobothnian Swedish dialect of Finland-Swedish, spoken in a small region on the west-coast of Finland - presumably this helped with the funding of the project, but the language of gigging and touring is somewhat universal. However there are subtitles for those who aren't fluent.
Kebu – Space for Synth premieres today and can be streamed on Yle Areena around the world with subtitles in English, Swedish and Finnish: https://areena.yle.fi/1-74148397
