Modular Commune Returns to Beijing in 2025

The Modular Commune Festival is set to return to Beijing from November 13-16, 2025, marking its second international edition. Hosted in the city's 798 Art District, the event will span a 3600m² venue, featuring an array of programs aimed at both newcomers and seasoned modular enthusiasts.

Organisers have announced a packed schedule that includes:

• Modular Live and Ambient Live zones

• A Dolby Atmos experience

• Masterclasses and seminars

• DIY workshops (totalling 9 hours in 2024)

• Kids Discovery Zone and Novice Village

• An Artists' Market

• Multiple after-parties

The 2024 edition of the event had 20,000 visitors, with over 100 live performances and 50 exhibitors. The festival positions itself as Asia's largest trade show and performance event for modular synths and other electronic instruments. Established in 2015, it operates as a non-profit initiative powered by volunteers from within the music tech community.
