We had a chat with Tobias from Tubbuec, who gave us a look at the latest additions to their expanding ecosystem of synth upgrades and controllers. The first item was Brainstep Controller, a new expander module for their Brainstep sequencer and modulation generator, allows direct access to all 16 envelopes and 8 LFOs via faders, making hands-on modulation editing quicker and more immediate.
Tuba Tech also introduced a set of MIDI controller modules for various synths they offer upgrades for, including the Roland SH-101, Juno-6/60, and upcoming upgrades for Yamaha CS-series (CS10, CS15, CS30). These allow for easier access to modulation sources, detuning, portamento, and more. A new controller for the CS30 lets you sync its sequencer to MIDI.
The UniMatrix was also shown--described as a universal MIDI interface for keyboard-matrix style synths. It simulates key presses, offers CV and clock outputs, and is configurable via a web interface. It can even be used to modify non-synth hardware with buttons.
