US The research program initiated in the 1950s' latest plugin      11/05/25

We had a chat with Matthias from GRM Tools, who introduced us to the new Atelier plugin at Superbooth 2025. Atelier represents the next generation of GRM's renowned suite of plugins, originally pioneering the scene since the 1990s. Designed as both a VST, AU, and AAX plugin, as well as a standalone app, Atelier supports full multi-channel output, accommodating up to 64 channels. Matthias demonstrated its capabilities, showcasing parallel comb filters and emphasizing its utility in physical modeling sound design.

Atelier allows for granular sound manipulation with multiple playheads, unique modulation solutions, and extensive bandpass filtering with channel-specific color coding. This makes it a robust tool for both sound designers and composers. Scheduled for a September release, Atelier's development is a decade-long project, promising evolution and adaptability in manipulation of sonic material. You can look forward to employing its functionalities either within your DAW or as a standalone application.
