We had a chat with Tyler from Chase Bliss, who gave us a look at the Chompi sampler and their latest range of stereo effects pedals. The Chompi sampler, now under the Chase Bliss umbrella, features chromatic and one-shot sample playback capabilities, allowing you to cycle through three sample banks. Effects can be placed pre- or post-looper, offering a creative setup for drum loops and tape-style looping. Each effect pedal is MIDI-controllable and CV-integrated, suiting both guitar and synth setups.
Tyler demonstrated pedals like Clean, a stereo analog compressor with modulation options, and Generation Loss, a lo-fi tape simulator. The Mood pedal, offering versatile ambient effects, features a reverb-smearing function and an always-listening micro-looper. Lastly, Tyler introduced Lossy, created with Goodhertz, focusing on effects of data compression. All pedals are available for purchase, with considerations for EU and UK buyers regarding shipment and VAT.
