At Superbooth 2025, we had a chat with Gur from Tiptop Audio who gave us a look at the Tiptop Audio Polyphonic Modular System. The system was built into their Mantis case and consisted of 13 modules designed to work as a complete eight-voice polyphonic synth.
Gur explained that this setup included a polyphonic MIDI to CV interface which distributes pitch and gate data to individual voice cards. Each voice module contains a full analog signal path with oscillator, envelope, filter, and VCA. The system is designed to replicate a traditional poly synth workflow in a Eurorack format, using regular patch cables rather than multi-pin connections.
Modulation was handled by a dedicated LFO module that could be split across multiple voices, and the system also included a global VCF/VCA for mono-style operation. Everything was aimed at making polyphonic patching in modular more straightforward while retaining flexibility.
