Manley Introduces Limited Edition Compressor

Manley Labs has announced the release of the Stereo Variable Mu Limiter Compressor 30th Anniversary Edition. Only 50 handcrafted units are available through Manley dealers. Here's what they have to say about it...

Born in the desert of Chino, California, the Manley Stereo Variable Mu® Limiter Compressor is the glue that holds your mix together while crystallizing it into a professional, final product. For three decades, the Variable Mu has given us that giant smiley face curve with sparkle at the top and a warm glow below that we know so well. It's an all-tube, all transformer, all-American legend, heard on about 70% of the mastered music out there.

Now Manley is celebrating its three decades on the planet with a limited-edition T-Bar version that offers ten critically tested tubes and four custom wound transformers. It's everything you love about the Variable Mu, with the expanded superpower of extreme limiting. This mod makes the Variable Mu even smoother when pushed past 6dB of compression. Using two matched 6BA6 pentodes strapped as triodes makes this choice better than an unobtainable and unsortable 6386.

Only 50 units are available, handcrafted from the engineers at Manley--to you.
