Bristronica 24: Thawney Stuttery Reverb

US Glitchy Reverb pedal      14/10/24

At this year's Bristronica, we caught up with Robin from Thorny, who introduced us to the It's Still Raining pedal. Described as a stuttery aliasing reverb pedal, it was designed to create long, lush synth pads and also has the potential to be overdriven to near distortion. Robin demonstrated its capabilities using a baritone ukulele (played by Gaz Williams), highlighting features such as the unique digital aliasing, which adds texture to the sound, and the dual reverb algorithms. One offers a modern, smooth style, while the other provides a more old-school, delay-infused character.

The pedal includes an audio trails feature, allowing reverb tails to fade naturally once switched off, though this can be disabled for those who prefer an abrupt cutoff.

Priced at £166.50, It's Still Raining is available directly through Thorny's website.
