Bristronica 24: Patching Panda - Blast and Hatz Modules

US And Etna Filter      14/10/24

We spoke with Luis from Patching Panda , who introduced us to a couple of new modules - the Blast for kicks and Hatz for hats.  Blast -  a new kick drum that Luis developed after a year-long study of various drum sounds, including acoustic and 808 kick samples. He explained that the module incorporates sophisticated envelope shaping, allowing for a fast attack and a weighty sustain, with adjustable body control to enhance the kick's punchiness.

Luis also showed their new HATZ hi-hat module, which offers independent decay controls and unique frequency manipulation options, enabling users to craft versatile hi-hat and snare sounds. Additionally, the Etna module, a triple analog filter with digital control, was highlighted for its snapshot functionality and morphing capabilities.
Available since the summer, it features low-pass, band-pass, and high-pass filter modes with a clean sound ideal for complex techno patterns.
