The new SUZUKI Omnichord OM-108 features a plethora of new additions on the original -  and here we have a video checking out whats new. The main feature for Lullatone, and many of us is the MIDI implementation, though he also goes over most of the features - including a drum trigger mode! The Suzuki Omnichord OM-108 represents an impressive fusion of the characteristic sounds of an accordion, the versatility of an accompaniment machine and the technology of a tone generator. Originally introduced in the 1980s, this instrument is experiencing a renaissance with modern updates on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Suzuki Musical Instruments Manufacturing.

Suzuki has cleverly managed to optimize the OM-108 for today's times by equipping it with a modern MIDI-out interface that allows the instrument to be integrated into a wider musical setup. The Omnichord's unique touch-sensitive surface (Strumplate) invites musicians to create and control notes and chords by simply touching and swiping the surface. This intuitive way of playing encourages creativity and experimentation, making the OM-108 a creative tool for musicians looking for new forms of expression.
