Let's dive into this months roundup:
A Demo Of The Filters On The Yamaha Su700:
I sampled some chords from the Korg Minilogue into the Yamaha SU700 sampling unit, set it to loop then went through each filter, sweeping the cutoff with the ribbon controller (that can also be assigned to almost every function) and tweaked the resonance every now and then, FX from the SU700 as well.
Fantastic stuff, great to hear how each of these behave; what a wealth of filtering options!
1996 Sysex File Loaded Into Quasimidi Raven Tangerine Dream:
I found a Quasimidi Raven sysex file from 1996 labelled 'TD' so I loaded into the Raven with Sysex Librarian and a Tangerine Dream sequence appeared. I contacted Jorg Schaaf from Radikal Technologies as he has a history with Quasimidi and this was his reply
"Dear Jean,
That was an jump into the past! Thank you very much for that. But unfortunately, I can't remember, whether I produced this. I still remember, that I did a lot of Tangerine Dream stuff like Cloudburst flight and Tangram on the Raven but I have no recordings of it and can't recall, how exactly they sound.I even presented my Cloudburst Flight version to Edgar on one of my visits in Berlin.
But I can't remember this TD medley. Maybe, I did it but maybe not. It's almost 30 years old and I did so many demos for the Raven. Who knows.
Thanks for your kind words and message!
Best regards,
Jörg"I hope Jorg doesn't mind me sharing his words, I remember the great demo of the Delta Cep A module on SonicState
Congratulations on being a digital archaeologist! What a fascinating little insight into a simple SYSEX file, makes us wonder how many digital files are lying around waiting to be unearthed.

A Retro-futuristic Music/video From My F9v2 Album
When I was a child, I was fascinated with robots, computers and technology. I fantasized about having a pet robot to play with.
Flash forward half a century and I found myself making an album that was part regression therapy, part catharsis and part experimenting with the weird sounds in my head. A revisiting of many parts of myself that I locked away.
When I completed this album (F9v2) I had a clear vision for the visuals that should go with it. I had neither the knowledge, nor the technology at that time, to create it. I spent hours trying to chain together bits of code and image manipulation libraries and eventually gave up. It seems the technology has now caught up with the nostalgia and creepy dystopia (you can decide which) that was in my head.
What a dark and brooding track, certainly an air of Boards of Canada to this. From the description we can see this is a true expression for you - superb visuals too! Nice work.
