Create Ecosystems using Sound Design

US Synthesizing procedural alien soundscapes      29/08/24

Aside from the endless cookie-cutter music production tutorials promising to TAKE YOUR MUSIC TO THE NEXT LEVEL or tell you THE ONE SECRET TOP PRODUCERS WONT TELL YOU - there are some really interesting demonstrations of novel sonic ideas to be found. In this video Amfivolía goes over how we can create a whole new landscape of sound, seemingly from another planet using sound design. He explains how to make this a procedural experience such that the audio you export will never sound the same... just like real life! Here's his thoughts on the content:

Biota is a completely synthesized, procedural / generative alien soundscape that I sound designed in Ableton Live. In this video I'll break down how I created various geophysical and wildlife sounds generatively, and discuss other factors that go into creating a soundscape.
