Oberheim's First Synth
US The 1974 Synthesizer Expander Module 06/01/23Alex Ball is back with another video; so strap yourself in for another expertly-researched, presented, and demonstrated feature looking at the Oberheim Synthesizer Expander Module (1974) and Two Voice (1975). He details the connection to E-MU Systems who provided the digital scanning keyboard and the SEM VCOs from Dave Rossum. You'll also hear about Jim Cooper, who designed the circuitry for the SEM, later becoming the chief Engineer at Oberheim - and of course Tom Oberheim himself. Superb stuff!
