Jim (aka Earmonkey music) takes a sounds only look at the The Aodyo Anyma Phi.

This is a specialized Physical modeling synth - it has oscillators and filters, just like other synths, but they are paired with physical modeling technology, allowing it to simulate acoustic sound sources, like strings , as well as resonating structures, like wood, glass, or metal. The front panel includes a matrix providing access to of the five stages of sound generation: Excite, Vibrate, Resonate, Global, and Animate.
