New Closed-Back Studio Headphones

Ashdown Engineering and UK distributor Sound Technology Ltd have announced immediate UK shipping of the newest addition to Ashdown's Meters range of headphones, the Meters NOVU-1 closed-back studio reference headphones. Here's what they have to say about them...

With years providing audio solutions to the finest musicians and engineers in the music industry, Meters by Ashdown have now engineered these affordable yet professional closed-back wired studio headphones. With custom-designed 50mm dynamic drivers to deliver an accurate response across the whole audio spectrum and featuring easily replaceable cables and ear pads, the NOVU-1 is ideal for use in the studio.

After being asked several times for a simple wired pair of headphones, Meters decided to create a pair of closed back flat response headphones with the ability to produce real bass (down to 16Hz) and detailed treble.

Designed to be driven by the output of a mixing console, their 64 ohm rating enables a huge amount of headroom to drive the custom engineered 50mm driver chosen for its flat response and details in the upper register.

NOVU-1 are also great headphones for music listening and come with a gold-plated 1/8-inch (3.5 mm) stereo mini-plug with included 1/4-inch (6.35 mm) threaded adaptor. For music on the move, the NOVU-1 package also includes a carry bag.

The Meters NOVU-1s deliver in both sound and quality - designed to last, and to be simply repaired if the worst happens. The NOVU-1 detachable cables are easily replaced should they be damaged, and their ear pads can be replaced.

The newest addition to the stellar line up of Meters Music audio products, the Meters NOVU-1 Studio Reference headphones offer high performance studio reference at an affordable price of £69 inc VAT and are available now.
