Make A Eurorack Module With Tom Whitwell

Soldering your own gear is an absolute joy once you've got going but does require practice, patience and a steady hand. Luckily Thonk, Music Hackspace and Music Thing have combined to offer a 2 hour live course in building the new Music Thing module CONTROL aimed at beginner-intermediate level makers.

Tom Whitwell has designed a number of excellent modular units, most notably the Turing machine - so you'll be in good hands. Here's what the site says:

Before we start building, Tom will talk briefly about the process of module design, touching on ideas, usability, prototyping, electronics and tools, and answer any questions. Together, we'll build a brand new module called Control. It has four big knobs, is 18hp, and gives detailed fine-grained control over any parameters in a modular synth.
