As part of its ongoing mission of providing resources for both its membership and the wider industry, the Recording Academy Producers & Engineers Wing is hosting a three-part online series titled Remote Controlled, demonstrating techniques for optimizing home setups for remote recording and streaming.

The Recording Academy Los Angeles Chapter will host Part 2 on Thursday, Feb. 4 at 12 p.m. PT, and the session will provide tips and advice for artists and musicians on how to maximize recording sessions while working remotely with a producer and/or engineer. Visit https://grm.my/2XZyOWA for more details and to access the event.

Part 3, produced by the Recording Academy Texas Chapter, will follow on Thursday, Feb. 11 at 12 p.m. PT and will cover best practices and hints for improving livestreaming performances.

Hosted by the Recording Academy Washington, D.C. Chapter, Part 1 focused on home recording for artists and musicians, and premiered on Facebook on Thursday, Jan. 28, at 12 p.m. PT. This segment paired both a vocalist and an acoustic percussionist each with a studio professional to help guide them toward getting the best results.
