Setting Up A MIDI Over Internet Session - How It Works

What started out as an experiment to see if it could be done - can we send and receive MIDI in real-time over the internet? Answer is yes and and with less latency than you might expect.
We connected Nick's local Reaper session with the Arturia Keystep 37 to Matt's remote Ableton Live session.

We used this excellent guide from Deep Signal Studios as a starting point.

Matt Hodson aka  @MATTHS   was our remote session - we're going to be doing a live stream with him as creates a track in real-time using some of the MIDI Nick sent, plus his modular system and Bitwig Studio.
