MESSE 2018: Focusrite Pro Rednet X2P

Dante/ Rednet enabled audio interface      10/04/18

If there's one thing that seems to be even more prevalent at the Pro Light and Sound part of the Messe experience, its audio networking, and by far the most widely adopted format appears to be DANTE, little "Dante Spoken Here"  badges all over. And to bbe honest, who wouldn't want to not have to lug masses of mult-icore around with you. With Dante compatible with the Focusrite Rednet range of networked devices, the installation market is also booming. With a Gigabit Ethernet network on CAT5e or Cat 6 you can expect to shift around 1000 channels of digital audio, over long distances.

The Rednet X2P offers two channels of  Red Class Mic preamps:

  • 2x2 Dante audio interface
  • 2 Red Evolution mic preamps supply copious clean gain
  • Focusrite's famous Air effect emulates the sound of the company's legendary transformer-based mic pres
  • High-performance audio conversion with over 118dB of dynamic range
  • Flexible control lockout protects your settings during remote use
  • May be conveniently mounted directly to a mic stand
  • Power, audio, and remote control transmitted via a single Ethernet cable
  • Ethernet powering requires optional Power-over-Ethernet switch or PoE injector

Price around 400 Euros
