Colin Benders must operate on a different time  (modular time) to the rest of us, he regularly posts long musical journeys, jams and commentary videos using his enormous modular system.

Based in Utrecht at his Kytopia studios, he's what you might call fully immersed in the modular life.

In this four hour session, we get to see how he creates and patches, all the while developing a musical idea - and not a keyboard in sight. He's one of the rare musically minded people who's got their head around how to actually make music with a system. And thats not surprising, his background is in big band orchestration. Colin knows his music theory- in fact he explains that he treats his modular system as a kind of orchestra... (he gets into this around 2:15:00)
