The Blue Mofi headphones are probably the best sounding headphones we've heard. Despite their unusual form factor and large size, the sound reproduction is particularly impressive. Sometimes you find yourself taking them off to check you haven't left the speakers on. Our Sonic TALK panel were similarly impressed with the sound - we did a group review on Sonic TALK 401
This comes down to the 50mm drivers with built-in matched amps inside the headphones themselves - they also have a rechargeable battery and a specially tuned closed back design.
But for some, that extra bulk makes them less suitable for everyday use. So Blue have jst announced the new Lola headphones - these have the same driver set, a tuned closed back design which deliver a solid sound - just like the Mo-Fi when in passive mode (amps off). The main difference is that Lola headphones are completely passive - no built-in amps.
The Lola phones have a thinner headband too to make them less bulky.
