After decades in storage, a rare synthesiser has been restored in Australia by Leslie Craythorn at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. The EMS Synthi 100 is one of just 30 made and we are reliably informed that only three three remain in original and working condition. A Synthi 100 was used by the BBC Radiophonic Workshop in the 1970's and can be heard on some Dr. Who incidental music. You can read the full story and see a video on the ABC news site.
