Yamaha introduced what they call a "new paradigm for compact mixers". it takes the best of their small format analog mixers and combines with some of their digital console experience.

The new Yamaha MGP12X and MGP16X feature Class A "D-Pre"mic preamps, plus a new X-pressive EQ based on  their VCM circuit modelling. Stereo channels feature a ducker so a mic can attenuate music feeds for Voice over with background music.

Features:

  • Studio-grade discrete Class A D-PRE mic preamps

  • Musical X-pressive EQ based on Yamaha's famed VCM (Virtual Circuit Modeling) technology

  • The Stereo Hybrid Channel featuring three-band EQ, plus Ducker, Leveler and Stereo Image functions designed specifically for live sound

  • High-grade dual digital effects processors

  • USB connectivity for iPod/iPhone and DSP control using the MGP Editor app
