Moog Music's Mike Adam's has sent an update on the status of the new Moog Taurus 3 bass pedals:

All the mechanical has been completed.  We are waiting final qualification samples and then we will be ready to release the production order for sheet metal, extrusions, pedal board, wood, push buttons, foot wheels, and the various other mechanical components that make up the Taurus 3.

All the PCB’s have been designed; the sound engine, the controller board, the user interface, the Input/Output board, the footwheel sensor boards, and various other smaller boards that make the Taurus 3 work.  The sound engine is really incredible.  It delivers on all levels and I am sure that you will all be amazed and delighted.

We expect this all to come together in December and we will START shipping then.  Shipments will be made to those customers who helped launch the product with their deposits late last year.  It will take time to work through the 600+ orders we have.  So please be patient.  We expect to be able to produce a small quantity in December and ramp-up from there.  If you order was toward the backend of our initial offer you will not see your units until first quarter of next year.  Please be patient with us.  Each one is hand-built and thoroughly tested and that takes time.

As for the many who have questioned, ‘what’s it look like?’  We will release pictures when we are ready to ship.

Ok, thanks again for your faith and your patience.  We are close but it will be worth the wait.

The Moog Taurus 3 bass pedals are a limited edition update on the classic Taurus bass pedals.

Pricing and Availability

The Taurus 3 pedals are expected to be available in December. They retail for $1,995.
