This video comes from what looks to have been a spectacular performance of Risky Business: A Tribute to Nikola Tesla.

Risky Business is described as a "composition for electroacoustic music with live Continuum perfomance and two Tesla Coils." The Haaken Continuum is a MIDI controller that allows continuous control, in three directions, for each finger.

The piece was composed by Scott Wyatt and Mark Smart and was performed during the SEAMUS (Society for Electro-Acoustic Music in the United States) conference at Sweetwater Sound in Fort Wayne, Indiana on April 18, 2009.

Tesla coils are gaining in popularity as a musical instrument, because they can be MIDI-controlled and for their sheer spectacle.
