Takamine are known for the spiritual and natural themes of their limited edition guitars and The Storm, the new 2007 model, features a striking laser cut rosette and stunning abalone inlays on a black gloss finish depicting one a nature’s most powerful events, a thunderstorm.
This dreadnought cutaway guitar is the first black finish Limited Edition Takamine since 1996. With a matching gloss black headstock, neck, and black chrome machine heads, the LTD 2007, say Takamine is a strong design statement. A striking abalone lightning bolt is inlaid into the polished striped Ebony fingerboard along with abalone raindrop fret position markers. The rosette, composed of laser cut Imbuia, Persimmon and acrylic, shows dark clouds lit up underneath by another abalone-inlaid lightning bolt. The tops of the clouds then blend into the black finish on the solid Spruce top.
A solid Sapeli Mahogany back and Sapeli Mahogany sides match well sonically with the solid Spruce top, giving, say Takamine, a superior acoustic performance that sounds as good as it looks. A CTP1 CoolTube preamp and Takamine’s benchmark Palathetic pickup complete the package. Pricing and Availability:
RRP £1399.00 GBP
Available January 2007
