The Know It All! Series from Digital Music Doctor has so far provided interactive video training courses for DigiDesign Pro Tools, Adobe Audition, Steinberg Cubase and Cakewalk Sonar as well as Sony Acid Pro and Sound Forge audio and music production systems. The company have now released the 12th course in the series and this time its for Adobe Audition 2. Audition 2â€”Know It All! contains over 2 hours of interactive videos as well as sample sessions covering all major aspects of audio recording, editing, mixing, and mastering using Adobe Audition 2 pro audio software.
The course contains 25 modules and is organized into 6 sections:
The Overview section provides a grand tour of the features and functions in Audition as well as a presentation of the major new features and an introduction to digital audio.
Recording & Editing covers basic recording and editing functions as well as markers and scripts.
The Effects section first provides an overview of using FX in Audition including signal flow and routing in Multitrack View. This section includes examples of applying the basic FX categories: Normalizing, Dynamics, Delay, and EQ.
The Mixing & Mastering section uses session examples to illustrate mixing and mastering concepts. The mixing example includes the use submixes with Sends and Bus routing, and the mastering example includes Stereo Expansion and Multiband Compression.
The Loops & Rewire section has an example session which shows how to create both loops and loop compositions as well as how to use Rewire clients.
The Tools & Techniques section covers six additional functions available in Audition: Surround Mixing, Wave Analysis, MIDI, Vocal Processing, CD Creation, and Repair and Noise Reduction.
Audition 2â€”Know It All! is presented using Macromedia Flash and is available in DVD and digital download formats for Microsoft Windows XP.
