Version 2.2 provides extra support for DJ control surfaces from Helrcules, Kontrol-DJ and any other MIDI controller. The new version also features a clearer interface, which is even more responsive when new tunes are loaded.
Dave Addey, CEO of DJ-1800 said: “We know how popular controllers are with
our DJs and we wanted to make their professional lives even easier. Now when you are out at a gig, you can still play all your favourite music from your computer with DJ-1800, but you can control it with real buttons, dials and faders.
DJ-1800 features an intuitive drag and drop integration with Apple's own iTunes software, making playback simple.
DJ-1800 version 2.2 also includes the following new features:
New song position bar to enable you to jump to any point in a song
BPM values are loaded from iTunes to read on screen
Other bug fixes and improvements
Users who have previously bought DJ-1800 can upgrade to version 2.2 of the software for free.
A fully-featured demo of DJ-1800 is available to download from
www.dj1800.com.
There's also a very helpful section on hardware setups and how to integrate your DJ-1800 system into a working setup - definitely worth a read if your thinking about setting up a Mac based DJ system.
DJ-1800 is a complete, self-contained professional DJ system for the Mac –
no need for a mixer, CD players, or heavy record boxes. Just plug in your Apple Mac and some speakers, and you’re ready to go!
