London¹s MacExpo show, Europe¹s fastest growing Mac show, which takes place
at the Business Design Centre from November 21st to 23rd this year is set to
have a larger music and audio presence than ever before at a UK Mac show. It
features a Music and Audio Developer Area for which Steinberg, Emagic,
Propellorheads, Ableton, Midiman/M-Audio, Edirol and Evolution are already
confirmed, with others to follow. There will also be workflow seminars on
music recording, audio post-production (including 5.1 surround mixing) and
music video creation on the Mac platform. These will be introduced by SOS¹s
AppleNotes columnist Paul Wiffen with segments by world-renowned record
producer Steve Levine and Hangman Studios¹ James Tonkin.
Steve Levine now not only records and mixes music for the artists he
produces but also shoots and edits their promo videos. He will be giving an
inside look at examples of both his music and video productions for bands
Owen and Boy/Girl over the last year, as well as a sneak preview of current
work in progress with new singer Simone Kaye. James Tonkin who set up
Hangman Studios, an audio and video production facility for IE Music, Robbie
Williams¹ management company, will be using audio post-productions he has
done on DVDs, documentaries and idents for Robbie Williams and 1 Giant Leap
and the music video he recently directed for the band Archive to illustrate
his presentation. To register for the show and seminars, visit
