Yamaha introduces fastest CD-RW drive

US Faster than a speeding... you know what      08/11/00

Yamaha has launched the industry's fastest CD-RW internal and external recorders, the LightSpeed 2100 Series. These multi-platform drives can record at 16X, rewrite at 10X and rip at 40X - five times faster than conventional drives currently in the marketplace. The CRW2100 Series takes advantage of partial Constant Angular Velocity (CAV) technology, which increases data transfer rates while minimizing load, allowing for a faster, smoother recording.
