Naked Girls Get Interrupted is the first YouTube video from "actor, model and icon" Music Steve

Now, you're probably wondering how Steve got so lucky to have four beautiful naked women in his first YouTube video.

You're also probably thinking "This is awesome, but what's the music connection?"

First of all, the video is a clever parody of, and homage to, Make The Girls Dance's Baby Baby Baby:

Beyond that, though, Naked Girls Get Interrupted appears to be a clever viral video to promote the upcoming Guitar Hero 5 music game.

The strategically placed black bars flash a setlist of song titles, including:

  • All the Pretty Faces - The Killers
  • Looks that Kill - Motley Crue
  • Steady as She Goes - The Raconteurs
  • Smells like Teen Spirit - Nirvana
  • Under Pressure - Queen
  • Ring of Fire - Johnny Cash
  • Wolf Like Me - TV on the Radio
  • Kryptonite - 3 Doors Down
  • The Rock Show - Blink 182
  • Bleed American - Jimmy Eat World
  • Sweating Bullets - Megadeath

These tracks are all by artists noted on the Guitar Hero 5 Web site.

Beyond the homage and the viral marketing, though, this video is a great example of how the music industry is changing.

Radio and record shops are losing their power as platforms for music discovery. People are now discovering music via Internet videos, video games and social networking. A lot of people spend more time playing video games than they do listening to the radio, and they don't go to record stores anymore.

What do you think of all this? Is Naked Girls Get Interrupted the future of music promotion, or is it just four naked babes and their stout chum walking through LA?

Give it another look and let me know what you think!
