Parallel Multiband Compressor And Saturator

US The Poutinizer is built around Cheese and Gravy knobs      13/10/26

Tabarnak Audio, the plug-in brand founded by mixing and mastering engineer Etienne Tremblay (creator of the YouTube channel La Machine à Mixer), has released its first plug-in: The Poutinizer.

Etienne Tremblay told us, "With The Poutinizer, I wanted to create a fun, simple, and quick-to-use plugin capable of 'de-digitizing' any audio source."

Named after Québec's most famous dish, The Poutinizer is a parallel multiband compressor and saturator built around two knobs:
    •    Cheese (under 600 Hz): tube saturation feeding a slow, forgiving compressor, for warmth, roundness and low-end weight
    •    Gravy (above 2 kHz): FET-style saturation feeding a fast, punchy compressor, for bite, presence and forward vocals

The mids stay perfectly crispy: they pass through untouched, and the treated bands are blended on top of the dry signal.
