Sync Audio has announced MegaMorph, which they describe as a new plug-in host that combines any 3rd party synths and effects into a single, powerful meta-instrument. Here's the story in their own words...

Sync Audio is excited to introduce MegaMorph, a new plug-in host that transforms your existing plug-ins into inspiring combinations. Built on the DNA of the successful MegaMod, MegaMorph takes modulation even further by pairing envelopes with a full instrument and effects rack, bringing your favorite plug-ins together as one expressive instrument. 

Bring Your Plug-ins to Life
MegaMorph attaches a multi-segment envelope generator (MSEG) to any third-party plug-in, letting users shape its parameters into rhythmic patterns and evolving movements. Its fully modulatable effects rack lets users assign envelopes to parameters across entire effects chains. From a simple rhythmic filter to layers of shifting textures, MegaMorph opens up fresh possibilities inside the plug-ins you already own.

Build Interlocking Grooves
MegaMorph combines multiple synths and effects into one super instrument called a Meta-Instrument. Each instrument can host multiple layers of envelopes, creating interlocking grooves and patterns that play against each other. Build your own Meta-Instruments, or simply press a button to randomly generate new ones. It's an incredibly fast and fun way to turn familiar plug-ins into inspiring combinations that will help you start (or finish) your next track.

Three Versions for Different Workflows
MegaMorph includes Instrument, FX, and Warp plug-in versions. Instrument combines multiple instruments and effects into one. FX routes an incoming audio signal through three parallel effects racks, functioning as a fully modulatable effects chainer for third-party plug-ins. Warp reshapes audio clips with built-in pitch and time effects.

Pitch and Time Sculpting for Sound Design
MegaMorph Warp uses built-in varispeed, time expansion/compression, pitch shift, and volume effects to help you dramatically reshape sounds with envelopes. Film and game sound designers can drag a clip from their DAW timeline into Warp, precisely sculpt its pitch and time, then instantly drag the rendered result back to their timeline. Rendering runs in the background as you work, keeping the process fast and fluid. Changing the effects processing order opens up new ways to transform a sound. 

Bake Plug-In Automation In Pro Tools AudioSuite
For post-production mixers and sound designers, MegaMorph's AudioSuite version lets you render third-party plug-ins with envelope movement directly into audio clips. Instead of automating an EQ insert on a track, shape the plug-in movement with an envelope and bake it into the sound. This helps reduce track counts and automation lanes, keeping busy sessions easier to manage.
