Butterlamp Audio has released Tilichu which they describe as a wavetable synth where a sentence becomes a patch. They say that Tilichu pairs a deep classic architecture -- two morphing wavetable oscillators, granular and spectral sample engines, 32-slot modulation matrix, twelve effects -- with an AI patch generator. Here's their full description...
Tilichu is a wavetable synthesizer built for classic, knob-by-knob sound design with depth on every layer. Two independent oscillators morph across 256-frame wavetables with unison, warp, and phase scatter; a sample source plays any audio back as a grain cloud or a baked, re-shapeable spectrum. Everything routes: four LFOs, four envelopes, and four macros feed a 32-slot modulation matrix with bipolar depth, curve shaping, and drag-to-assign from any source, driving both the synthesis engine and a twelve-slot effects chain. When you'd rather start from an idea than an init patch, the built-in AI generator turns a sentence into a complete preset -- oscillators, modulation routings, macros and all. Tilichu ships with 400+ factory presets, imports Serum 2 and Vital patches, and activates offline on up to three machines with no iLok and no phone-home. VST3, AU, and standalone for macOS; Windows is coming.
