reFX Releases Rippler Synthesizer

reFX, known for their Nexus and Vanguard virtual instruments, has released their new synth, Rippler, in VST, Audio Units and AAX formats for macOS 10.13+ (Silicon and Intel) and Windows 10+. They say that Rippler emulates acoustic instruments both real and imagined, and adds a layer of subtractive synthesis to blend, enhance or solidify your sound.

A spokesperson told us, "Add expressive modulation, a collection of high-quality effects, performance controls and hundreds of presets, and Rippler is your go-to synth for realistic and hyper-realistic sounds alike."

Rippler's signal path starts with its Exciters, which offer a choice of sounds, user import, and sidechain input to start the signal path. The Exciter signal and Noise Generator are then fed into two Resonators that mimic those of real acoustic instruments (tubes, membranes, bells, strings...). Two Oscillators can be added to blend and layer with the acoustic signal, and two Filters offer a large range of vintage and modern sound sculpting types. A generous dose of modulation and effects round out Rippler's signal path.
