Superbooth 2026: AJH Synth Radiophonic System

We spoke to Allan from AJH who gave us a look at the Radiophonic, a comprehensive analog modular synthesizer system showcased at Superbooth 2026. Originally commissioned by Hans Zimmer, this modular setup was designed for the new Radiophonic Workshop at Medieval Studios. It stands out for its comprehensive inclusion of ISA's modules, featuring elements from the Minimoog Model D made available in Eurorack format.

Key features of the Radiophonic system include a mini mod system with glide noise, oscillators, a transistor ladder filter, a VCA, and contour generators for authentic analog sound. It offers dual stereo voices -- ideal for cinema soundscapes thanks to their expansive stereo field facilitated by dual ladder and diode ladder filters.

While Allan mentioned ongoing developments for new products, the Radiophonic system is available for purchase at £15,000, complete with a custom American Walnut case.
