Monk Echo by Mentha Works

US Sleek machine for reverb and delay      25/11/25

The Monk Echo by Mentha Works is a new reverb and delay pedal - with lavish styling and a super clean aesthetic - so beautifully designed it's almost difficult to remember its just an effects pedal. The full details are below, and the demo is pretty extensive - but the unit features -reverb/delay mix, delay time, feedback, reverse delay, reverb pre-delay, reverb pitch grain, monk voice, voice character, vowels, modulation, fluctuation, distortion, degradation, delay stereo width, and tone controls. Here's more:

At its core, Monk Echo is a duet of blooming, lush reverb and precise delay ranging from 1 millisecond to 10 seconds. The blend of both effects creates layers of evolving ambient echoes. The reverb and delay signals are shaped by morphing formant filters tuned to the resonant frequencies of the human voice.

This is followed by an array of sound-design tools: infinite delay repeats and reverb decay, reverse, granular pitch shifting, static or responsive modulation, distortion, a unique degradation engine, tone-shaping tools, and more. With the pedal's carefully tuned controls, you can explore a wide spectrum of sounds without relying on fixed algorithms -- from pristine, wide reverb and clear delay tails to massive, grimy, distorted walls of sound, and everything in between. Monk Echo is a sound-design powerhouse disguised as a guitar pedal.

Once your sound is dialed in, the big macro control knob lets you completely reshape it by controlling many -- or even all -- parameters at once with a single gesture. This is where the no-algorithm philosophy truly shines: you can morph between sounds and shift their character completely, yet in a nuanced and gradual way. What the macro control does is entirely up to you, and setup is a breeze.

Macro control settings are saved per preset, so recalling one brings back not only the sound but also the way you interact with it. Using the pedal on the floor where it belongs? You can perform the macro control with a footswitch or an optional expression pedal. And if that's still not enough, use MIDI to control your other gear with the same macro control. monk echo - reverb & delay both beautiful and strange
