IK Multimedia Releases ReSing Vocal Modelling

IK Multimedia has released ReSing, a desktop-focused vocal modeling tool designed to capture the timbre, tone, and expression of real artists. The software is available as a plug-in and standalone app as a way to generate natural-sounding vocal or instrumental performances directly on your computer without relying on cloud processing.

Listening to the demos certainly do seem to work quite well (though we did quite like the human versions too)

ReSing provides vocal replacement, tone shaping, and energy control, and it supports user-created voice models alongside an expanding catalog of partner models available through its Sessions service. According to IK Multimedia, ReSing processes audio locally to maintain privacy and remove external server dependencies.

The app offers full DAW integration with ARA support and includes built-in tools for dynamics, EQ, reverb, and pitch correction. It also supports both vocal and instrumental transformations, letting you repurpose sung phrases into playable instrument parts.

A key part of the release is the ability to create voice models on your own machine. IK states that each model is unique and protected from unauthorized use outside the ReSing environment.
