Bristronica 25: Laser Powered Guitar Pickup

Seeming almost like science-fiction tech, Kitter Chord's Hexaphonic Photonic Pickup uses lasers and photodiodes because magnets are so last century. Ryan told us that this pickup offers new ways to manipulate sound and it will work with nylon strings, making it useable on classical guitars. Because each string gets its own laser and photodiode, each string can have its own channel for individual processing, giving you control over adding effects like reverbs and delays per string. 

Its still a work in progress, but Ryan said it will hopefully be available next year, and prices will be in the region of 500 USD
