Sampleson has announced the official release of Tactile, which they describe as a cinematic plugin that transforms your trackpad or mouse into a performance surface. Touch the Sound to Create Ambients
Tactile turns any audio file into a responsive canvas. Users interact with a grid where the X and Y axes are mapped to two independent audio sources. Each motion--whether a swipe, glide, or tap--translates into evolving drones, textures, and transitions.

Your trackpad becomes an instrument," says Augusto Filocamo, developer at Sampleson. "Instead of triggering notes, you're shaping sound with movement. It's intuitive, immersive, and gives you total freedom to explore."

Tactile fits easily into any production setup:

Built on Spectral + Granular Synthesis
Tactile's core engine combines a spectral freezer that isolates a moment in time, with two granular processors that continuously resample and blend each sound source. The result is a powerful, hands-on tool for sound design and ambient composition.
