Superbooth 2025: DPW Design - SW3 Splice Wave Splicer

We had a chat with Dan from DPW Design, who gave us a look at the SW3 Splice module. This prototype, set for release in mid-summer, focuses on wave splicing, a feature Dan had been developing for years with previous modules like Zero and Switch. Unlike conventional methods that rely on zero crossings, the SW3 Splice detects when two waves have the same voltage to rapidly switch signals without clicks. Mav demonstrated how the module can merge sources like oscillators or samplers. By integrating an oscillator or gate signal, you control the switching speed, generating various outputs.

Dan showed that the SW3 Splice supports stereo mode, giving more dynamic possibilities by separating and varying outputs across channels. A future update promises slope detection to minimize artifacts. Expected to retail under €200, this marks Dan's first module since their rebrand, promising intriguing new sound possibilities.
