At Superbooth 2025, we had a chat with Stijn from This Is Not Rocket Science who introduced us to the Bopp and Steve Module, a unique deconstructed reverb. Unlike traditional reverbs, the module offers a modular approach by breaking down the reverb into a pre-diffuser, an expanded delay section, and a customisable tail end. The device enables you to choose from various styles for each section, such as a ping-pong delay or a waveguide for pre-delay, and a range of room styles for the diffuser. The tail section allows adjustments from dense to sparse effects with stereo capability.
One standout feature is the MIDI controllable pitch shifter, which facilitates creating chords from a single note input, allowing for rich, harmonic outputs. Bopp And Steve is available for €440. He also teased an upcoming prototype, Kharper, a plucked string cinematic device, set to release in June.
