We chatted with Will from Teenage Engineering, who showed us their latest offerings: the TP7, CM15, and TX6. These are color-matched iterations designed to harmonize visually with their OPXY product. Although still prototypes, these products continue to deliver the same solid functionality as their predecessors.
The TX6 is a 12-channel audio mixer and interface, with analog preamps offering up to 42dB gain per channel, built-in DSP effects, and extensive I/O options. The CM15 portable condenser mic features a custom 1-inch diaphragm capsule and offers versatility with its gain selector switch. Lastly, the TP7 supports multichannel recording and integrates with the TX6 for seamless 12-channel recording.
Will highlighted upcoming software updates aimed at enhancing interoperability across the system. These updates are still under wraps but promise exciting new features. Each device provides up to eight hours of battery life, ensuring extended recording sessions.
