We caught up with Mike from DWE at NAMM to discuss the innovative Roland DrumLink WT-10. Designed to enhance wireless capabilities, the WT-10 connects to the DH10 or DrumLink hub by DWE, allowing integration with various setups such as Roland pads, triggers, and more. Mike demonstrated how the system could accommodate components like CY16s, VH10, BT-1, RT triggers, and PD pads, making it versatile for expanding your kit. Additionally, the DrumLink system can integrate with Roland V-series modules, the TD27, TD50X, and, in the future, the SPD-SX.
Previously, everything operated through wired connections; however, the WT-10 now facilitates wireless transmission directly to a hub, which connects via USB. The product, priced at $139.99, is expected to be available in Q2. Mike also outlined DWE's expanding sound library, including new additions compatible with their software for use as VSTs within DAWs.
