New Behringer Eurorack Multi-Mode Filter

US Surges 'liquid' filter is based on Mutable Instruments Ripples      25/10/24

Behringer has introduced SURGES, an 8HP voltage-controlled "liquid" multi-mode filter modelled after the Mutable Instruments Ripples. They say that it's designed to bring unparalleled depth and smoothness to your Eurorack setup. Here's more details direct from the company...

With its switchable 2-pole and 4-pole slopes for both band-pass and low-pass outputs, the SURGES offers ultimate flexibility and creative control. It's perfect for shaping your sound with precision, from cutting-edge highs to deep, rich bass. Whether you're after sharp high-pass filtering, resonant band-pass sweeps, or creamy low-pass tones, SURGES delivers it all.

Key Features:

  • Multi-mode filter: High-pass, Band-pass, Low-pass
  • Switchable 2-pole or 4-pole slopes
  • Inspired by Mutable Instruments Ripples

Additional Ins and Outs

  • Audio inputs – signals from input 1 and 2 are mixed together with input 1 having a dedicated level knob that can result in an overdriven sound when pushed
  • CV inputs – resonance and cutoff modulation
  • Voltage controlled gain for low-pass output – externally control the level of the LP signal
